Baird Report: Outside Of Retail, RFID Doing Well

RFID is likely to fare well as long as you stay outside of retail, according to a new report from financial firm Robert W. Baird & Co..
Under a heading of “Good Momentum Beyond Retail Supply Chain Applications,” the reports discusses “positive momentum” with display tagging, airline bag tagging and chemicals and it predicted more strength next year in aviation, library, transportation and fashion markets.
On the down side, the report said legal challenges in the pharmaceutical tagging arena “may slow the adoption of RFID by some pharmaceutical companies.”
