Secret Service/FBI Reports “A Considerable Spike In Cyber Attacks” Against E-Tailers

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI ) and the Secret Service issued an unusually specific joint statement on Thursday (Feb. 12) warning E-tailers of "a considerable spike in cyber attacks" against them and detailing the cyber thieves' modus operandi and some suggested preventative tactics.
The statement said the "attacker methodology" was to identify sites that seem vulnerable to SQL injection and that the attackers "appear to target MSSQL only." (How nice. The cyber thieves run Microsoft-only shops. Redmond would be proud.)

Is there really an improvement between a mag swipe and contactless tap if multi-factor authentication is required?
